Quebec City to Chicoutimi
 

I hope someone can help me. I am planning to fly into Quebec City in December, and I need to go to Chicoutimi. InterCar bus service has been recommended, but I've been unable to get any info in English. Since I do not want to rent a car, this is what I have planned: taking an airport shuttle bus La Autobus de Quebecoise for $9 to Gare du Palais bus station and catch the InterCar bus from there. Can anyone suggest a better plan? Thank you very much!

Why not fly to Chicoutimi? If you are not staying in Quebec City, you can fly directly there from Montreal.

If you speak French, your visit should be fine. If you don't, bear in mind that Chicoutimi is the heart of French Quebec.

Several years ago a pet store in Chicoutimi made the news because of a parrot. The bird spoke only English. The local language police complained that the pet shop owner should get rid of the parrot, or teach it to speak French!!

Thanks for the suggestions and advice. I checked flights from Montreal to Chicoutimi, but the cost exceeds my budget, however I passed along the info to a friend who might be able to afford it. And I will bring my Berlitz French phrase book!

Just remember, the phrase book does not help you much to understand the answer!!
Nor does the tape or disk that comes with it necessarily help.
