Prince Edward Island Christmastime?

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Charlottetown and the NE that's not too expensive but has private baths, for Christmas time or New Years? IS this is a good time to visit or is everything closed? Thank you,
Julie

Julie, here is the web site for a wonderful place to stay. It is Shaw's Hotel on Brackley Beach. But I am not sure if they are open in the winter. Also not sure of the exact location...near Charlottetown or NE?
www.peisland.com/shaws/
