Post cruise vacation in Vancouver
 

Following an Alaskan cruise in late June 2007, my wife & I (we are in our late 50's, but reasonably fit)are staying at the Sheraton Wall Centre for a further 3 days. Best places to see? eat? have a drink? blues music? and any other hints/help on getting round the city.

There's plenty to do here to keep you busy for 3 days. But you should give us a bit more info about your interests so that we know what to recommend.
There are many, many great restaurants, for example, but what kind of food are you fond of? What sorts of experiences are you most attracted to (shopping, outdoor pursuits, museums, etc.)?

Also, a search on this forum will turn up lots of previous posts about things to do/see in Vancouver, where you'll get lots of great ideas.

Must-dos:
- don your walking shoes and walk the seawall from the Cruise Ship Terminal around Stanley Park to English Bay.
Yes, a longish walk, but maybe stop for lunch at Ferguson Point.
- take an AquaBus across from False Creek North to Granville Island (not actually an island but...). Walk around the island, enjoy some of the craft stores and the food market.

- Visit the Vancouver Art Gallery and view the home collection for some Canadian, and especially B.C., artwork.

- Lot of excellent eating opportunities: C's (excellent seafood), Vij's (excellent East Indian cuisine), Au Cafe de Paris (good), Cardero's (good food, great location on the waterfront in Coal Harbour), on and on and on.
