Please help! Need motels in Quebec off the Trans Canada

I will be driving from Halifax to St. Catharines in a few days and would like to stop about half way just outside of Quebec City. I am desperate for suggestions of hotels or towns with hotels just off the Trans Canada. We will be tired and do not want to enter the city. If we happen to land early we might do some sights but just in case I want to make this stop as simple and stress free as possible. Please help!

Hi Judi.

There are TONS of hotels and motels just outside of Quebec City in the town of Ste-Foy, that are located on the northern shore of the St-Laurent <<river>>, right over the Pont de Quebec <<bridge>>. Just do a search for <<Ste-Foy hotels>>. Any questions, just ask.

Ross. :-)

On trips to the Gaspe, we used to stay overnight in Levis, directly across from Quebec City, on the south shore. Its been to long ago to suggest specific motels, even if I remembered the names. We would usually take the ferry across to Quebec for the evening.

Thanks for the advice! I was going to stop in Trois Rivieres but all the hotels are booked due to the Grand Prix. Thanks again!

Judi,

Trois-Rivieres is on the northern shore of the St-Laurent. The Trans-Canada runs on the southern shore through Quebec. You can easily stop in Drummondville or St-Hyacinthe along the Trans-Canada.

Ross. :-)
