Places for lunch/dinner in the Rockies
What's your favorite places for lunch/dinner in Jasper/Lake Louise/Banff?
Is there a market in each of the town to buy ingredients to make sandwiches/salad for pinic?
Thanks
Jacqueline

Banff has full grocery stores and getting ingredients will be no problem there. Lake Louise Village is very samll and has a pretty small corner-store. In LL, I would suggest buying pre-made sandwiches etc. at Laggan's Bakery. I'm not that familiar with Jasper, but I'm sure it has a fairly decent grocery store since it's so isolated.

Jasper has 2 supermarkets, namely, Super A and IGA. In the busy summer months, fresh produce tends to be picked over by late afternoon.
Bear's Paw Bakery also is a good place to pick up stuff for picnics.

We found a fantastic place in Jasper called Patricia Street Deli. Try the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich! They have salads, homemade soups, a nice selection of cheese and cold cuts, chicken dinners to go, a few tables and fun, friendly staff. Wait till you meet the "Deli Man" - WOW!

Of Jasper's two grocery stores, one is now closed for renovations (formerly Robinson's IGA, now Robinson's AG Foods - no longer an IGA). So hopefully when it re-opens in the spring, Jasper WILL have a decent grocery store!
