Places for lunch?

My wife, another couple and I will be doing the HAL cruise Boston - Montreal. Does anyone have any suggestions for lunch places in Halifax, Sydney, or Charlottetown? Anything or anyplace that should not be missed? On the other hand is there someplace that should be avoided?

We enjoyed the Five Fishermen in Halifax and it would get you a few blocks off the dock area.

Sydney is a very small town and the locals come to the ship in their own cars and drive you into town. They don't charge for the service - they do it because they are proud of their town and love to show it off. I am sure they would certainly recommend a good lunch spot. This is just a wonderful place - not much there but the people are so warm and hospitable. There is a local craft market right at the dock with some very lovely things and when the ship sails (and maybe arrives I forget) they have the local band playing for you. The Cape Bretoners are wonderful.

Hi,
We had dinner at the Sweet Basil Bistro in Halifax, by the waterfront. It was the best meal of our trip. I highly recommend it for lunch.
