pictou/accomodations
Husband and I will be staying one night in Pictou in Sept...Does anyone have an opinion/comparison of any of the following?
Cunsulate Inn Braeside Inn Custom House Inn location/convenience/quality? Thanks.. |
I wish I could have stayed at either the Consulate Inn or the Custom House Inn, they both looked lovely from the outside. I think either of them is relatively conveniently located. Pictou is a gorgeous little town, I loved it. I don't recall seeing the Braeside Inn so cannot comment on it.

We stayed in the Consulate Inn in 2004 and were pleased with our choice. Pictou is pretty compact so no where is too far away, hope you enjoy yourselves. We had a room at the back of the property it overlooked the water and was nice and quiet.

i was in pictou for the first time last summer - i loved that little town. can't help with accommodations as i camped but if it's hot and you want a nice beach - check out caribou/munroes provincial park. between pictou and the ferry landing.

If you want to stroll a lovely beach, check out Melmerby - it is a provincial park. Don't forget to check out Carver's for coffee in the morning or a brew in the afternoon. Mrs. MacGregor's Tea Room is a great spot to have lunch or a proper "tea". Or the Canape Cafe for a few sweets! If you are in Pictou on a Sunday, the brunch at the Pictou Lodge shouldn't be missed! Especially the lobster benedict! Lots of shopping in Pictou and if you want an afternoon of pampering, drop into Ahead of Hair. Don't forget to take the stroll along the waterfront towards the Edward Mortimer Inn.
Hope you enjoy your stay! |
