PEI-one week was too long

We've just returned from our 3 weeks vacation to Nova Scotia and PEI. We stayed in PEI one week and foend it to be too long. Compared to Nova Scotia PEI is a little boring IMO. We've toured nearly every part of the island, nearly same landscape all over , only farmland, everything very much developed. The beaches were quite nice but many jellyfish. Could hardly walk close to the water in some places. We stayed at a lovely B&B (Barachois Inn), that was the best part of our stay. We LOVED Nova Scotia and have returned for the forth time now. Would not go back to PEI.

I've heard that from some people and from others, I've heard that it was great. My sister used to live in Nova Scotia and when I asked her if we should visit Cape Breton or PEI, she said, "definitely PEI"! Unfortunately we didn't have time for either, so will have to make a trip back sometime. Maybe we'll go to both.

However, I do think that a week would be too long in PEI. It is a very small island after all!

Our family felt much the same way. The bike trail there, however, was second to none, and we really enjoyed the fishing and celtic entertainment as well. We were glad that we visited but TWO weeks was definitely overkill! Nova Scotia and Newfoundland we could have spent two months exploring.
