Parking Niagara Falls

I would greatly appreciate any tips on cheap parking (or just parking in general) if driving into niagara for the day. We would use the people mover to transport from one attraction to the next but don't know what to do with our car! I have read the parking lots fill up fast. Thank you so much! Parking has me worried.

Also, I get the impression that to avoid long lines to MOM and JBTF and COTW that you have to go first thing in the morning but we only have so many mornings available! ha. Don't want to wait in long lines. Any thoughts?

Is there somewhere we can go locally for coupons and discounts?

THANKS!!

Parking at the NY State park is $7 all day... if you want to save that $, the Casino is two blocks from the Park and offers FREE parking in the ramp... the Canadian side also has paid parking and is very limited... especially near the Falls viewing area..

Discount coupons are available in any hotel or motel lobby where you will find thousands of brochures on racks...

Husband and I just went to Cirque Niagara Thursday night; it's located across from Marineland. They charged $6:50 to park but it included the "people mover" trolleys that take you directly to the Falls area. We live 45 minutes away and go the Falls a couple of times a year and we didn't know you could park there. If I remember correctly it's a lot more expensive to park in the lots near the Falls themselves...something like $18. So if I were you I'd try the park area across from Marineland; it would be about a 10 minute ride from the Falls.

By the way, be sure to visit Niagara-on-the Lake a beautiful town down river from Niagara Falls. It was the original capital of Ontario before Toronto and many of the homes and buildings date to and before the War of 1812. The town is postcard pretty, filled with retaurants and shops and also famous for the Shaw Festival Theatre productions. My fave place to park there is in the park by the river, you're right at the mouth of the Niagara River and can see the US fort while you picnic.

Forgot to say that as we paid for the parking the attendant gave us a book that had the attractions and coupons as well.

I'll definitely make a note of all that! Thank you!!

We are planning on staying out of town a little to cut on hotel costs (rather spend the money on the attractions and food!). Been reading that the parking lots around the falls fill up fast so didn't know what plan B could be! I appreciate the help!

The city-bus people mover goes a long way on Lundy's Lane West. If you are desparate you could possibly park in the grocery store beside the Best Western Cairn Croft and then buy a bus pass from the hotel front desk.
