Pacific Shores Nature Resort

I'll be staying at the Pacific Shores Nature Resort on Vancouver Island in early June and was just wondering if anyone has stayed here before. Are there any nearby restaurants that you'd suggest? Anything in the area that you could suggest for daytime activities? Thanks!

No one out there has stayed at this time share? I was hoping to get some feedback before leaving next week.

Well just where is this place?
Vancouver Island is 500 kilometres long and half as wide with a mountain range thru the middle.
That's a lot of territory please give us a clue and help yourself.

This time share resort is located between Nanaimo and Parksville on Vancouver Island.

You could walk the beach at Rathtrevor Park, visit Englishman River Falls and Cathedral Grove, go to the general store at Coombs, take the ferries to Denman then Hornby Island and walk the trail in Helliwell Park and visit that nice beach I've forgotten the name of.

Years ago I had good dinners at Tigh Na Mara's restaurant and the McClure house restaurant in Parksville but I don't have recent experiences.

I'll be staying at this same time share resort in July and am also curious to hear a review of this place. Anyone out there stay there before? I've read about kayaking, but will it be too cold? Am I going to be bored to death staying there?

lol, I love it. No, it won't be too cold in July for kayaking. Most of the ice bergs have broken up by then. Seriously though, The resort is very nice. It has a hot tub right on the beach, a good pool, and it is just minutes from Parksville. Really good restaurants are hard to come by in the mid Island area. I lived there for ten years and we basically gave up going out for dinners , because there just weren't any consistently good places, but you will have to eat , so try Tigh na mara, Kalva's, or, the pub at the Island Hall. For kayaking ,which should be a must on your itinerary, call Seadog Kayaking at Schooner Cove resort. they will take good care of you. Go to Coombs market for a morning, wander through Qualicum Village for the afternoon, and walk Rathtrevor beach at sunset. The Island is beautiful, as long as you're not looking for flash. enjoy
