Odd Vieux-Montreal Restaurant ?

I am taking my mother to Montreal next month and she only eats chicken. She has never been to Montreal and is looking forward to the French cuisine. Hence, I am trying to find a French restaurant in Viex-Montreal with roast chicken, chicken breast, etc. option for dinner. I have looked at numerous menus and am not having any luck. Any suggestions?

"I am taking my mother to Montreal next month and she only eats chicken."

Good heavens. Leave her at home. :)

I'm sure this won't be a problem. Chicken is widely used in French cooking. My wife is a non red meat eater, and has never had a problem dining in Montreal.

don't limit yourself to typically french restaurants; Modavie is a wine bar on st paul and has a diversified menu with chicken on it; italian places also.
Casa de Mateo is a fun mexican place on st françois xavier so you'll find chicken on the menu also.....

The upscale french restaurants usually don't bother with chicken, I have to agree with you......
but you definitely have many other options.....
Auberge St. Gabriel has it also.....

Gibby's is a steakhouse and they have a chicken breast on the menu.....

Thanks for the help... especially you, mitchdesj. Casa de Mateo is already on my list for our second night. Sounds delicious!

I can't imagine a restaurant without at least one chicken entrée on the menu. We dined the other night at Bonaparte (across the street from Casa de Mateo), and it certainly had chicken. Bonaparte features classic French cuisine, and I'm sure that your mother would enjoy it.
