Num-Ti-Jah Lodge? - Icefields Parkway?

Has anyone stayed at this lodge, that can recommend it? Type of room make a difference?
Done any hikes near Bow Lake?
Or, horseback outings?

Please share your experiences. Thanks!

Do a search. Someone commented on this earlier.
The hike out to the falls from the Bow Glacier is entertaining, with one very steep but short section. If you have some real scrambling skills, you can struggle up to the glacier. I stopped at the base of the falls.
Thanks, Bob, you were right...

I *had* done a search, but included the dashes in the lodging's name & came up with nothing! Finally found a few entries after you recommended I check again... just needed to leave the dashes out.

Still, though, would welcome reading *any* experience someone has had, actually staying overnight there. I've only seen very gen'l comments about the lodge's location & one about its restaurant.

Anybody out there who has stayed over at the Num-Ti-Jah?

Thanks, again! :-)

the Lodge is "rustic". I would recommend it. Most rooms are self self contained, but a few offer a shared bathroom. It is a beautiful place. Go for it!

Stuart P.S. I live in Banff so you're taking to a native.

Thanks for the recommendation! :-)

Is a lakeview room worth the extra money, over a complete 'non-view' room?
It's about $50Cdn difference. Wondering if you get wonderful views from the Lobby, etc...
probably should watch our dollars here.

Anyone ever stayed in one of these?
Thanks!

We stayed there a few years back. The rooms themselves are not that special. Quite old and as another poster put it "worn". There is very little water pressure. Apart from this, the views and setting are spectacular and the food is very good, so it really depends on what you're looking for. However, in my opinion, a beautiful hotel room experience it is not.

Save your money. Get a room without a view.

Blessings,

Stuart <><
