Nova Scotia Wineries

We will be in Nova Scotia mid Sept. There are quite a few wineries in the Anappolis Valley. We plan to spend one day (from Wolfville) to tour 3-4 wineries and have lunch somewhere along the way, maybe stop and do cheese taking too if it works out. I've read about the Magic Bus but it doesn't run on Tues which is the only day we have for this. I've read that Luckett and Grand Pre are good and about the only 2 that offer lunch. What would you recommend for planning a day for this? Would love any input. Thanks

we visited Grand Pre and had a small lunch. We were on the move and not really interested in searching out others. it isn't Napa Valley. Just a wonderful vacation across NS.. just loved our trip.

Yes, I'm from northrn California so not expecting it to be like Napa but figured we'd check out a few wineries while in the area. Thinking of hitting a few in Gaspereau Valley & Grand Pre since that is closest with lunch at Luckett Vineyard since their menu looks awesome. I also have to check out the Tangled Garden since that looks very cute. ANy other input would be welcome. Thanks

Luckett Vineyard, and specifically the restaurant, is fabulous. We went for lunch twice in 3 days! The view is incredible over the Bay of Fundy, just sit there and drink it all in (including the wine!).

We also went to Blomidon winery, didn't love their wine although we bought a couple of bottles of ice wine. But wine is personal taste, so you can't judge by what others like.

We had dinner at Domaine de Grand Pre winery. It has a nice courtyard and they had music the night we were there. You have to be prepared to share a picnic table with others. You can also eat inside. The food was fine, but have to say the experience wasn't everything I wanted it to be.

Thank you LibraLeo for the input. We will definitely hit Luckett Vinyard then for lunch! Domaine de Grand Pre won't be serving dinner on the days we're there so we won't be able to do that but will probably go there for tastings. Thanks again!
