Nova Scotia Weather

We will be in Nova Scotia and PEI the third week of July and wondering what the average temps are and what to pack. Many thanks!

Hard to tell what our weather will be like. To be on the safe side, shorts/t-shirts are fine for daytime but I would pack sweatshirts and pants for the evenings.

What's the saying here in the Maritimes, If you don't like the weather, wait a minute

Mandy Jul 3rd, 2002 05:45 PM

Hey, I thought that was exclusively a Vermont saying!

Sarah Jul 5th, 2002 10:52 AM

Not exclusive I guess because we use that saying in MA/(all New England) too!

I will be going home to Nova Scotia at the same time my mom said that it's been very hot and humid the last few days (80's and 90's). But if you are going to be on the coast I would suggest long sleeves for the evening and the weather does tend to be very unpredictable.

The weather here on the wet coast must be much more stable, because in Victoria the usual expression is 'If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes'.
