Nova Scotia

I and my husband will bre driving from ny to cape cod and then Nova Scotia in the middle of August for about 7-10 days. Any suggestions about where to stop beside Provincetown, Prince Edward and Cape Breton, Bay of Fundy, any ideas for good museums, scenery beaches or even resonable hotels.

i did not plan anything I just feel like driving up north to these areas

Thank you in advance for your advices

Mid-August is a beautiful time to visit Nova Scotia.
When you say "Prince Edward", do you mean the province of Prince Edward Island? Or, what?

For Cape Breton Island, the Cabot Trail is a must see. You may want to allow 3-4 days to leisurely explore the Cape Breton area and allow for a fog day! There's no point touring the Cabot Trail if it is rainy and foggy so it is always a good idea to factor in an extra day.

The coastal city of Halifax, NS & surounding area is worth at least a day or 2. There's a nice beach in Hubbards about an hour from Halifax. And Lawrencetown Beach is a great place to watch the waves!

Hello!

It is beautiful in the Maritimes! Spend 2-3 days in Prince Edward Island and visit Anne of Green Gables, wander around Charlottetown, rent bikes and ride the side roads because it is so flat and pastoral, eat lobster. Spend a day in Sydney, NS on your way to Halifax. Halifax is a great city - tour the Titanic Museum, visit the cemetery, spend an evening in a pub listening to the music and find bagpipers. Take a day or half-day and drive out to Peggy's Cove; it is so beautiful!

You can spend a good week seeing these places at a relaxed pace. Be sure to eat fresh lobster sandwiches from local food stand/trucks and stop for hot tea.

Best Regards,
Julia

"Spend a day in Sydney, NS on your way to Halifax."
On your way from where? ha,ha With all due respect, Sydney is not "on the way" from...anywhere!
And, even if it were, I see no reason to spend a day there.

I love your PEI suggestions! Makes me want to go back to the PEI beaches!

Even McDonald's has fresh lobster sandwiches! (seasonal)

that's not a lot of time to cover all you have listed. pei and cape cod are very busy in august. make sure you have reservations somewhere.
