Driving from New York to Nova Scotia, how long and tiring would this drive be?

OceanBreeze1 Apr 15th, 2013 09:20 AM

Well, it will be long (15-16 hours) and it will be tiring but not too tiring if you break it up and stay over a couple of nights. I hate driving so I would not be able to do more than 5 hours a day. But you may not mind driving. The fact that you are asking this question leads me to believe that you are not crazy about driving.

Have you considered flying to YHZ(Halifax)? You cld fly and then rent a car when you get there.

We are doing this next week...only one night on road for us. Did you mean NYC or upstate NY...could be a big difference in terms of distance.

Upstate New York, let me know how the trip works out!

Good point, LJ. I calculated from NYC to Halifax. Don't know the distance/time from upstate NY to any other point of entry in NS.

LJ, which are you doing: NYC or upstate NY? Have a great trip! Are you the LJ who lives in South Shore NS?
