Nice place to stay about half way between Toronto and Montreal?

Trying to meet a couple for a 2 night stay somewhere in between...this weekend..AGHH!! Last minute change in plans. Any suggestions with nice scenery, restaurants...maybe a very nice B & B?

Kingston Ontario would seem to answer your needs...the Hotel Belvedere is charming.

If you like wine and an emerging gastro-vino scene, go to Prince Edward County. Great food, people, landscape and beach.

You might like to try Ganonoque, just beast of Kingston. The boat tour of Lake Ontario that leaves from there is well worth taking. I think it takes two hours.
