Niagara on the Lake restaurants
I'm looking for a place to have dinner this weekend with my husband and two teenage children. Not looking for fine dining but would like good food in a nice setting, preferrably right in town.

Too late now, probably, but I'd just walk down the main steet, look in the windows, and read the menus out front.
Or just go to the OBan Inn. BAK |
Restaurants in NOTL are generally over-priced for the calibre of food served. But the advice above is probably the best. Otherwise, I think Peller Estates Winery is probably your best bet, just outside town. There are couple of "family" restaurants on the main street.

The Pillar and The Post is nice.

The most casual place with great food at good prices would be at the Old Angel Inn. The restaurant features english pub food as well as fallback choices if your teens are picky... I've never had a bad experience there and enjoy the genuine pub atmosphere as well as a taste of the local brews... its also haunted by a long dead British soldier... try a pint of Angel Red!!!
