Niagara on the Lake Lodging

Any suggestions for lodging in the town or close to it? I've checked several websites but mostly all B&Bs come up and it's hard to tell which are the nice ones. Willing to pay between $100-150 Canadian $

Planning to go in early August for about 3-4 days.

All suggestions are sincerely appreciated.
Good luck finding a place in Niagara-on- the-Lake for that price. I am originally from the Falls have watched Niagara-on-the-Lake go from a quaint little town to one that is overrun with tourists. The hotels in town are magnificent as their prices will show. I have stayed at the Pillar and Post and it was fabulous. Queen's Landing is anothe one, more modern but equally as fabulous. I am sure the B&Bs are also very pricey. You should stay in the town since everything is so close. Queenston, right down the road is another choice for B&Bs. Good luck and don't forget to check our the Vineyards in the area.

Hello. I have to say I disagree with Janie. There are alot of options in NOTL for that price, especially B&Bs. Check out www.niagaraonthelake.com and click on accomodations. The B&Bs are broken down by price. Since NOTL is quite an upscale tourist area, the B&Bs are generally better than other places. One place we stayed at is called Chateau Gate. (chateaugate.com or BBCanada.com). It is quiet and within walking distance of everything. We have travelled to many B&Bs and found this one to be ... elegant, relaxing, and the breakfasts were great. Take care!

We just returned from Niagara on the Lake yesterday - it was lovely. We stayed at the Prince of Wales, it was a bit pricey. However, my inlaws rented a cottage on Victoria that was adorable! It was as nice if not nicer than some of the B&B's we saw, and very reasonable for 3 nights it was $550 cdn. They found it on the niagaraonthelake website. I would suggest making reservations asap, it fills up very quickly.
