Niagara Falls Parking and best Packaage Discounts for Families?
Hello Everyone
We are going next weekend for a long weekend to Niagara Falls ONT. We are staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Might anyone have any good suggestions on parking in/around the hotel that is self-parking and maybe a bit cheaper than parking at the Hotel via Valet service? We are a family of four...two teen boys and I am planning on doing the following..Can anyone offer some advice on discounts and etc.. We arrive late thursday night My tentative Plans Friday Walk over to the US side Cave of the winds Maid of the Mist Fireworks Saturday WhiteWater Walk Jet Boat Tour Niagara Gorge Sunday Niagara-on-the-Lake High Tea Look Around Butterfly Garden As well other things of interest but not sure when: Journey Behind the Falls Ripley's Museum Corning Glass works on the way home monday afternoon and what might you suggest as well? And restaurants? Thanks! Dan |
we will be staying at the same hotel in Sept and planning to do something similar-visit NOTL. I've read in this forum that you can self park at the Fallsview Casino for $5. The casino is walking distance to the hotel. There are many knowledgeable posters on this topic here in the Canadian forum. I'm sure they will chime in shortly.
please do come back to this forum with your feedback on the Embassy Suites and restaurants you visited. |
The Casino is wise to the Hotel parkers and has raised the rate to $15 for each in and out!... even if you park for an hour its $15... they have removed cashiers from the exits and you must purchase the parking exit card from the Casino... only repeat gamblers are elligible for free exit...

gary, how do they know who are the casino players vs "guest" parkers? do they ask for a players' card and swipe it to see if you had been played in their machines or gaming tables?
thanks for the update. i was counting on this $5 parking and that's why we decided to rent a car coming in to NF. if it's going to cost me $30/day just to park, im probably better off taking public transportation. and please excuse this post, didnt mean to hijack dgmr's post. now back to his query... |
Yes,I have a players card to swipe... they used to charge $8, but had staff in the booths, that could let you through... now its $15 and you have to buy the pass card at the Casino... my "Free Parking" costs me way more than $15 in losses...

No Problem on the parking questions and follow..
I think I will just have to pay the Embassy Suites parking fare.. There are some local parking lots not far away but it is unclear if one can park there overnight and if it saves money..For example..can you park o/n at the Skylon towers? Also any thoughts on the discount niagara packages? Which ones are the best..they do appear to save money Thanks dan |
The US has the Discovery Pass and the Canadian Side offers the Adventure Pass... you need to review both and decide which you will benefit more from...

I just topped an old post with a great analysis of the packages by toedtoes... Niagara Falls Adventure Pass... have a look...

aww, we always parked at the Casino for staying at the Marriott since it was only $5. And then we got it free with my husbands player card and he had only gambled $20 (but he would have done that with or without the parking thing). $15 is still better than some hotels though.

Friday all day parking at the casino was only $5. They seem to be advertising those Player Advantage Cards all over the place for free parking, well with some gambling. Friday my husband gambled about $25. He would have done this anyway just for some fun. We got free parking with the card.
Saturday was $10 all day parking. We did an experiment and gambled with $5 only. Got free parking again. I kind of think you get free parking if you have the card, whether you gambled or not. I don't think they really prorate you or whatever. I don't know though. You drive up, put your players card in and if it were to say no free parking you would then put in a credit card and pay for the parking. I don't like that though because I'd rather pay cash. But we'll continue to park there and get it for free. But again my husband would want to gamble a little for fun no matter what. I know last year we got there on a Thurs and parking said $5 and on Friday it said $10. So I don't know why this year on a Friday it was $5. We always go in Sept. The best parking also is at the iMax/Skylon tower right across the street from the casino. It's only $5 all day too. We've done that before. I don't think you can leave overnight though but I have no idea. |
