Niagara Falls: Hilton or Marriott?
 

Hi All,<BR><BR>I am looking for a room that offers the best view of the Horseshoe and American Falls. Hilton and Marriott quoted the same price on the fallsview room for the night I'm in NF. Could someone please help me make the best pick? Thank you.

Hi! Just finished a two night stay at the Marriott Fallsview. We had a fallsview family suite, on the 6th floor, and the view was great! Thi shotel has excellent service. We very much enjoyed it!

We have a two BR suite booked for next week at the Marriott Fallsview. We'll let you know about our stay when we get back.

Any feedback on Niagara Falls Hilton?

My husband and I will be at the Hilton Fallsview tomorrow night. I can post a review when I return next week.

Just got back from NF. We stayed at the Marriott Renaissance. The hotel is a few buildings down from the Hilton. We had an executive suite overlooking the falls. The room was large and and it had an excellent view of the falls.

While the views are just fine from the Marriott, it sits slightly behind Horseshoe Falls, whereas the Hilton is equi-distant, between the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls, and has a straight-on view of each - far superior in my opinion. You can see the location of all of the hotels and their proximity to the Falls at www.niagarafallslive.com Note that the higher the floor, the better the view.

Note that there are TWO (or more) Marriott's. The Marriott Fallsview is just behind Horseshoe Falls, whereas the Renaissance is mid-way between American and Horseshoe, next door to the Hilton.

Another plus regarding the Marriott Fallsview--it is a short walk (1 block) to the Incline Railway, which deposits you right in front of the Table Rock complex of the falls. I'll post a mini report soon regarding our trip to NF and TO.

We just returned from the Hilton Niagara Falls. We really like this hotel and walked to everywhere from it. The casino, the falls, Clifton Hill. The room we had did not face the falls but it was very nice. One word of warning - they are building a new casino between the Hilton and the falls so on lower floors your view would be obstructed. And the construction workers started making noise at 7:00 a.m.! The view from the restaurant was good except for the large crane that partially obstructed the view. The Marriott that we noticed was further away from all the restaurants and such but I would imagine that its view is better. <BR><BR>Any questions just let me know!

We just returned from a three night stay at the Marriott Fallsview. We booked a two bedroom suite on floors 3 - 7. When we checked in, we got a free upgrade to the 22nd floor - a fabulous view. The hotel was very nice - excellent service, friendly staff, etc. If you are parking your car, they have valet parking which is off-site and they charge $13 per day. You have to call down about 10 minutes before you want your car and they will have it waiting. We did mostly walking activities in the mornings such as walking along the promenade, shopping in the Table Rock House, Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls, Clifton Hill. Then, after lunch (one day at the Beer Garden, the next day at the Rainforest Cafe)when we were a bit hot and tired from walking, we went back to the hotel for a short swim (the hotel has a beautiful pool, two hot tubs, steam room, sauna, exercise room, etc.) We found that the pool area was abit crowded in the evenings, but not at all during the early afternoons. Then we would call for our car and do farther away activities into the evening such as driving around seeing the sights, Niagara Parkway up to Niagara on the Lake, the locks at Welland Canal, the Whirlpool area and Spanish Aero Car, the Butterfly Conservatory.
