Funny you should top this. I'm going to have some "extra" days off due to our furlough and decided that I would use them to go to the Ottawa Winterlude festival for 2 weekends. Then I decided that I should take ViaRail down to Niagara Falls for the week in-between and see it in winter. So, I've been looking at hotel rates, etc. I think I'll be able to do it. I won't get to do Maid of the Mist, etc., but maybe there will be an ice bridge and I can sneak out on it.

Toed what are you talking about? Next year? You are too late for this year.
I know of a really cheap place to stay... but there are 2 resident pooches.... Oh no wait... I'll be away next Feb too... well we'll work on it.

I'm talking about me getting to go back to CANADA!!!! I'm desperate. I'm having withdrawals. Aaaarnold has denied me my Canadian vacation rights (in addition, he took away my Canadian Thanksgiving holiday this year). 
So, I'm looking at next year and I think I can manage a February trip to Ottawa and Niagara Falls for about 11 days. While you're out trying to escape the winter, I'll be embracing it!

Kodi - I'm pretty sure I'll be OK with it, but that's part of the reason for the trip. If I never visit in winter how can I know if I like it or not?
Dayenu - I'd rather be a popsicle than a melted crayon on the sidewalks out here in summer - YUCK!!! Find the right Canadian guy and he can lic..... nevermind.
Sally - I've never been able to ice skate - I have to look at my options, maybe those double bladed baby skates.

You best be careful Dayenu. I've got friends up there in Canada and I can call in a few favors and see you tossed over Niagara Falls without a barrel...
Ooh, a sleigh would be fun. Perhaps we can find a cute young Carlton University student or two to push us both? Of course if we had them pull us, we'd have a better view...

Dayenu - I know where you live. Are you sure you want to take credit for the Governator's changes? If so, I'll be happy to refer all the state workers I know to your place so they can tell you how happy they are with your suggestions...

Dayenu - I still believe I will be presen. I have no preference to location (I'll leave that up to whoever is a local). Time? afternoon or evening would be fine with me. I wonder what others think?
