Mccarthy's Party tour review needed- traveling in Newfoundland

Some members of my family would like to visit Newfoundland without driving. The brochur of Mccarthy's Party coming with the info from Tourist Centre seems quite interesting, but I am unable to find any review from Google.

I would be grateful if anyone could offer any feedback about this company.

You'll be in good hands with McCarthy's Party. Very knowledgeable staff and alot of Newfoundland spirit. They take you into alot of small communities. I'm not certain if Regina does the tours herself anymore but her sons are good tour guides.

Many thanks for the reply, the trip is for my parents, it would be nice to be sure things going out all right.

From some previous posts, it seems late summer isn't ideal for iceburg viewing, is there any chance to see them at all in late August or early September?

Hi JudyC:

I live in St. John's and we've had nar iceberg in the harbour for five years. I was to Trinity last week and same thing. Years ago you would see a scattered iceberg in April May and at a stretch early June. I'm loving our warmer weather but global warming is definately the culprit. Its having an effect on our fishery as well. We need cold water for our cod and lobster. Our Icebery Vodka is about as close to an iceberg as you'll get that time of the year. And that's not bad either.

To Denise,

Many thanks again for the reply, I have been reading info about Newfoundland, it seems most interesting, I am sure even without iceberg, my parents will have great time.

Make sure your parents visit communities such as Brigus, Cupids, Trinity, Dildo, Cape Spear and Cape St. Marys. I don't know if McCarthy's does all these communities but there are other tour companies that do. Maximm Vacations is another company that do tours as well.
