I am going to Niagara Falls, staying on the the canadian side, in a few weeks. A few people haver recently told me that it is filled with prostitutes that are very bold and have no problems approaching couples. Is this true? Has anyone experienced this? Where can we go to avoid them? I am afraid that if we are approached by one, I will loose my temper, punch her out, be thrown into Canadian prison and not permitted to return to the U.S.! :( Anyone who has any recommendations about fun things to do, sites, etc....I'd appreciate it!! Thanks!!

Sandy, this is Canada you're talking about - not Mexico. Street prostitutes are no more or less common in our cities than in yours and I don't believe they are any bolder. So don't worry about it.

Last time I was in Mexico I didn't encounter any aggressive prostitutes on the street. Maybe I was just in the wrong spots.

Hi Sandy! We (hubbie, myself, and two kids) went to Niagara Falls, Canadian side, this past August and never encountered anything like that. It was a lovely tourist area. Everyone highly recommended the Maid of the Mist so we did it - it was terrific!! We also enjoyed the dinner show, Oh Canada, Eh? Touristy but fun. They have a web site that tells perfomances, price, menu, etc. The butterfly conservatory and botanical gardens are lovely, too. Have fun!!! Maureen<BR>

I just returned from NF last week, and didn't see one prostitute! Canada is so clean and the people are just the nicest you will ever meet! We asked a teenager where Niagra on the lake was and he was so nice, and even ended with saying "have a nice weekend ladies" Wow -you don't see that very often in the states! Go, have fun, it's such a great place.
