NEXUS: Do you need it if you have PreCheck and Global Entry?

I'm traveling to Canada in October (I go maybe every other year). I have TSA PreCheck and Global Entry. Is there a benefit to getting Nexus (or do I even NEED to)? I don't want to pay for something I don't need just to save a few minutes every now and then. Thanks!

As far as I know, Global entry only helps you get into the US. NEXUS works both directions. If you fly out of Canada, you typically do the US border process in the Canadian airport. Global entry works there (leaving). In Toronto, they sometimes have special security lines for NEXUS holders headed to the US - not precheck. Precheck is TSA, so I don't think any Canadian airports recognize it.

If you are flying into Canada, my guess is that it won't matter that much not having NEXUS. Immigration is pretty streamlined. However, I have NEXUS, so I could be wrong. If you are driving across the border, you could hit an hour wait. You can search for those websites that tell you wait times at the land border crossings and look at what it typically is like on the day/time you plan to cross.

We got NEXUS, and the Global entry and Precheck came with it.
