New comers

We will be visiting Nova Scotia for the first time this July. STaying south of Annapolis Royal at the Milford House. Any suggestions on what to do/see? What is the CAT experience like?

Hi, again, Maribeth: I saw your other posts on NS. Hope you have better luck here. If you have not done so already, you shd go to www.novascotia.com( or .ca....) & order your "Doers' & Dreamers' Trip Planning Guide". Just out of curiosity, how did you settle on Milford House? Are you driving & catching the CAT? July is the best time to be in NS! Sorry I cannot help w/ suggestions but I am sure that someone else here will be able to help. I am topping this for you.

WE know a man who has vacationed there for many years. Also, need a dog-friendly place and liked the dining hall idea. I hope you do not know something bad about our choice.
The cat is quite expensive, but I guess it is worth the savings in driving time.

Has anyone stayed at Milford House to give us a review of the same? Thanks

Hi Maribeth,
I am a new comer too so not likely to be of help but I will also be traveling with my dog so I am interested in hearing about the place you are staying near Annapolis Royal. Have your tried the site petswelcome.com? Also, I saw your other post. I hope the CAT is OK since we are taking it one way, and driving the other way. We live in Maine so it seemed like the path of least resistance (although most expensive).
