we are planning a trip to seattle for 4 days, would like to drive up to the san juan islands,spend 2 nites,then over to victoria for a few nites, then vancouver and returning to seattle to fly home we have 10 days to do all this is it to much? need lodging,restaurant ideas for all but seattle thanx

The people here are happy to help and give advice, but it's hard to answer such general questions as yours. If you provide some more details, you'll get better answers. For example, how many are in your group, what ages are you, what's your budget, what types of activities do want to do?

Ten days at least gives you HOPE, vs. those who try to see Seattle, Vancouver, AND Victoria in a week.

I'd do

night 1 in the Seattle area

nights 2 and 3 in the San Juans

nights 4 and 5 in Victoria

nights 5, 6, and 7 in Vancouver

nights 8 and 9 in Seattle


We need a better sense of what you are shooting for, sightseeing-wise in order to help with specifics.

it would also be helpful to know when your trip is--what month--and also what day of the week you are starting your trip, as you want to avoid traveling to the san juans on a friday afternoon or saturday morning.

Thanx for your responses It will only be my husband and I traveling (late 50's early 60's) We are commited to the first few nites in Seattle to visit a nephew.We also like casual places where the locals like to hang out,we are casual type people who enjoy the outdoors.I prefer to stay
in small quaint b&b's or hotels.We will be traveling the last two weeks of Sept. We will be arriving in San Juans on a Tues or Wed.I would like to do some hiking etc to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.Thanx again
