Need suggestion on using mobile phone in Canada

Hi, I'm going to Canada from Thailand and will bring my Nokia phone with me. Would it be convenient to buy a prepaid simcard and recharge card while I'm there?

Thanks

As in the United States, most mobile phones in Canada are not GSM. However, Rogers does offer GSM service through its Fido subsidiary, so you will be able to use a prepaid SIM card if your phone is compatible. Check the Fido website for details.

Thank you very much Laverndrye

BOTH Rogers and Fido are GSM networks, so you have a choice as to which carrier you go with. Although Rogers owns Fido, they are operated as separate entities and it would be worth your while to compare prepaid price plans.
