need help with portland to yarmouth nova scotia

Hi, Just booked a package on ferry from Portland,Me. to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. We will arrive in Yarmouth at 7-8am on a Monday morning in early June. We have to stay the first 2 consecutive nights in yarmouth and then opted for 2 free days on our own, with a return ferry to Portland leaving at 9am out of Yarmouth on friday morning.Great deal for $258.00 american, now I just need to know which route we should take. Any ideas, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Michelle

Since you'll be in Yarmouth for two nights, you might want to check this out:

I haven't actually done this tour myself, but it looked good and so I have it bookmarked for future reference. It's not ALL that far from Yarmouth. The only reason I haven't done it yet is that on my previous two trips to Nova Scotia, I spent my time in the greater Halifax area and over in NB. I'm sure you'll love your trip!

Hi Jim, can you help me with sights to see in Halifax. We plan to visit towards the middle of June. Heard they have great casinos as well as good restaurants. Where would you suggest we stay (hotel-motel) and restaurants.

Jane, sorry I haven't checked this board for a couple of days. Here is a link to my notes on Halifax, etc.:

Be sure to get your "Doers & Dreamers Guide, which you can order online:

You're going to have a wonderful time!
