NB, PEI, Nova Scotia in Oct
We are planning a trip to New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia this fall. We are hoping to travel the second week in Oct and only just realized that our trip will fall during Canadian Thanksgiving. Will restaurants, inns, etc be open or should we consider another week?
Our interests are mainly scenic driving, hiking, etc. Thanks. |
Since it falls in the colordays of September, i don't see that many tourist locations will close at the risk of revenue loss.
These pics may help you to familiarize yourselves with PEI and Nova Scotia (also Bar Harbor if you are so inclined). Usually smaller establishments stay open until the Thanksgiving weekend. However I would check in advance to make sure.

Hotels with dining rooms may be an option as bigger ones will have meals available. As an example http://www.kelticlodge.ca/mediapress...-thanksgiving/
