NB/Nova scotia/PEI
Which area would you pick if going with kids ages 6 and 9 for 5 days.

I know that we can't travel around a whole lot so would like to get a few ideas on where to concentrate.

Thanks

There are warm water beaches, and very, very cold waterbeaches.

the warm ones are on Prince Edward island, and on the new Brunswick shore of Northumberland Strait, near Shediac.

The tides mean that the water level drops, leaving small, shallow pools of quite warm water, which are wonderful places for kids to play for hours.

If I was going with kids, I'd skip Cape Breton and the Cabort Trail, which is scenery-rich and appeals top adults.

I'd look for forts; kids love these. Downtown Halifax has its Citadel, and there's Fort Beausejour between NB and Nova Scotia, and Louisberg in NS come to mind.

BAK

Does the 5 days include driving from somewhere?

There's more distance involved than you might think!

Altough a NS'er, I would suggest PEI with children of that age. The beaches are wonderful and the amusement type activity abundent. Cavendish area is what I am talking about. However, NS has a lot to offer as well.
Thank you everyone.

No the 5 days doesn't including getting to the area. We have 5 full days to spend there.
