Montreal: W Hotel or Hotel Le St. James?
 

Thoughts?

Both are very good; le St James is usually the host for celebrities in town, they have a rooftop appartment. It's located more centrally in the heart of old montreal. The W is not very far though, and is closer to McGill street , which has a lot of restaurants and bars.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm leaning toward Le St. James, but I can a nicer room for cheaper at the W which looks like a very nice hotel too.
Dilemma!

Resurrecting this thread because we are trying to decide between these two hotels as well! (And also considering the Place d'Armes!)

I just booked a stay at the St. James (similar dilemma), as we wanted a more boutique feel. Will report back how it was. Really looking forward to it. If anyone has stayed recently, would LOVE feedback.
