montreal vs. toronto
 
thinking about doing a short weekend in the end of may. can anyone advise me which is a more fun and romantic getaway. which has more to see and do. i have only a thur. to sunday. flying from florida. thanks

Go to Montreal -- it's really different from any other big North American city, so will be extra-intersting.

You might also consider Quebec City. There are a number of great posts here that give advice about what to do and where to stay there.

No contest. Montreal wins hands down. It is classier, has more antiquity and has a feel of being in Europe because French is spoken by the majority.

I live in Toronto and love it, but I'd say Montreal or Quebec City.

I have vacationed in both places and for an urban and non specific getaway I would say Montreal. If you had something specific i.e. shows, definetely Toronto.
