Montreal Trip - Foie Gras
 

I wonder if anyone can help us out there. Last year, we went to Quebec City and went to the Market. We found this foie gras in a can from a Quebec farm called Les Canardises (lescanardises.com). It is excellent.

We are going for a short trip to Montreal in May and wondered if anyone found this foie gras in Montreal.

Unfortunately, we don't speak french but if we don't hear anything back on this website, we will ask someone we know who speaks French to give them a call and ask them.

Did you not want to buy it online? Their website is in English as well and you can order it directly. I don't know where you live so maybe the shipping is expensive but if you can't find it on the shelves that is an option for you.

A friend of mine brought some Chinese foie gras entier from his last trip to Pekin. From the looks, it was just like a French Foie gras, but once I tried to cut whole thing, there were huge chunks of beef in the middle. It is unacceptable how Chinese wan't to copy everything, and sell it at discount prices. Their production capacity is gigantic, and it is incredible how the wan't to copy all the terroirs from the world, with their cheap products they will finish by killing all the productionof Foie Gras in France.

Foie Gras lovers, it is not right how cheap imitations of Chinese foie gras are killing our traditions.
