Montreal to Quebec by train

Hi All,
I will be visiting Montreal for 5 days in late August/early September. I have looked in to spending a day in Quebec. The only site I can find is via rail. Problem is, most of the trips are already sold out during my stay. Is there another site I can check? I realize that the travel time is about 3 hours each way and that is ok by me. I know that there is plenty to do and see in Montreal and the surrounding areas, just thought it would be nice to see Quebec as well, even for a day. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Montreal is in Quebec, so I assume you want to visit Quebec City? Have you looked at bus schedules? If its 3 hours there and 3 back, perhaps look at an overnight stay? That might be a super busy time to travel as kids go back tO schools on Sept 2nd so lots of travel everywhere.

We also took the bus from Montreal to QC... it's an easy trip and QC is easy to get around without a car... make the trip part of an overnight stay to maximize the experience...

3 trains per day from Montreal to Quebec City. The escape fare is only $49CAD.
I don't know where you got your information that "most" trains were full. You only need one each way.
