MONTREAL JAZZ FEST 2000

Can anyone recommend a hotel in the $100 or less range not too far from the Jazz Fest events? I don't mind a bit of a walk. I heard about a place called Chez Roger Bontemps that is supposedly walking distance from the Jazz Fest. Has anyone heard of it? It's at 1447 rue Wolfe. Also, any other Jazz Fest info would be very helpful. Thanx! :-))

Dear Joyce,

You'll want to check out Hotel Casa Bella on rue Sherbrooke corner Jeanne Mance. It's very reasonable ($60/$70/night...you may have to ask if you want your own bathroom) and within a block of the centre of the jazz festival action. The landlady is from France and is extremely helpful.

Even if you find a place not in direct walking distance but still in the center of the city you will be fine. Montreal's subway ssytem the Metro stops right in the nand an ease to use.
I'll email you a few places to check out

That message should have read:
MONTREAL'S SUBWAY SYSTEM IS GREAT. IT STOPS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE JAZZ FEST. ITIS SAFE AND EASY TO USE.

Hi Joyce,

Check out http://www.montrealjazzfest.com/eng/...t/01frame.html
They have some very good hotels at the price range you are looking for. I called and got a 3-night plus RT airfare from Chicago for $633 US dollars. Hope to see you there.

Faye
