Montreal Apartment Hotels
I'm planning a trip to Montreal in August with my family of four, plus my husband's parents. Does anyone have any info about either Le Cantlie Suites or Square Phillips Apartments? Are either better options than getting two hotel rooms? What are the area's like where these two suite-hotels are located?

Hey goodeats,
I dont know anything about either of the two you mentioned ,however I have stayed with my family at LApartment hotel on Sherbrooke for the past 2 trips north. Ask for the 2 and 1/2 plan which has 2 seperate bedrooms and a sofa bed with an extra cot thrown in for 10 dollars more per night. Very nice neighborhood close to everything downtown, apartments have balcony and kitchen also. |
Cantile Suites used to be an apartment building, they converted it into a Suite Hotel. It is in a great location but I cannot say how great the rooms are. It is on rue Sherbrooke, where the Museum of Fine Art is, Holt Renfrew Dept Store(I just love that store) plenty of galleries and fine shopping. Just around any corner is great eating, loads of restaurants. ACross the street is Mont Royal, McGill University. It is a great area, but much of Montreal is great to me:)
I believe you would still need two rooms with 6 people though. |
Hi Goodeats, For sure you can't beat Cantlie Suites location although I've never been inside their rooms. Here's their website: www.hotelcantlie.com Have a look!
Toll free number is 1-800-567-1110 They also have a roof top pool. here is another website:www.montrealcam.com |
Perhaps you can make a deal with The Best Western Ville Marie-also a great location on Sherbrooke St corner Peel. Call toll free at 1-800-361-7791 or go to www.hotelvillemarie.com(then Best Western)comes up
