Hi. We (2 adults and 2 teenage boys) will be visiting Montreal and Mt Tremblant in June. Does anyone have any recommendations for casual, moderately priced restaurants in either area?

Montreal is very big on outdoor dining as soon as the weather gets bearable. Your teens should enjoy this. The two best spots for this are Old Montreal, and even better is Prince Arthur Street in the plateau area. This is a pedestrian walkway lined with outdoor eateries and teeming with street entertainers, college kids, families, etc, great for people watching. Most of the places are inexpensive BYOB Greek or Italian. Not 4* gourmet, but lots of fun.

At Tremblant, just about everything is very casual and the food is generally ok. You won't go wrong wandering into any of the places in the village. For something a bit unique and very french, try Creperie Catherine right in the pedestrian village - they serve crepes made to order for breakfast right through to dinner. Very reasonable and great tasting. No reservations required but they can get very busy.

At Mont Tremblant if you wish to eat out of the village there is a restaurant on chemin east of the village and somewhere close to the trail which is a family restaurant which I have forgotten the name of but the price is reasonable and full course meal includes appetizer, main dish, and dessert and beverage. The food is good and good selections for all the above. It is called something family restaurant.

Go South within 30 minutes you will be in St. Sauveur and this is the best eating town up north, from exceptionally good steak at gibbys to a hundred cute bistro restaurants. I find Tremblant contrived like disney land and except for the expensive steak reastuarant shaped like a circle at the base, Ièm genrally not impressed with disney land artificial environments. St. Sauveur is more authentic and the prices are half (re-read) half the price in Mont Tremblant.
