Nelligan Breakfast - Is a continental buffet with pastries, fruit, cereal, cheese, sliced meat, juice, coffee. Nothing hot. We have stayed at Auberge Bonaparte in the past where they serve a wonderful made to order breakfast. We were disappointed with breakfast, but not with the hotel. I am not sure which hotel we will stay in next time. There are things we liked better at each hotel. Auberge Bonaparte has a great breakfast, friendly staff, garden rooms have large french windows that open and let in light, and hardwood floors. Nelligan is more "elegant" and darker, has carpeted floors and the most comfortable beds in the world.

We stayed 5 nights at the Hotel Nelligan. Our friends had suggested the hotel and we were very impressed. I can't say enough about the Nelligan.

We had a very bad experience at the Chateau Versailles for one night. They were booked and gave us a room that reeked of bad body odor and stale cigarette smoke. The staff didn't seem to care since they were "booked". Anyone else have a similar experience?

Needless to say, we went back to the Nelligan.

Thanks to all who posted. We booked the Nelligan for a 3-night stay (Loft Suite). Hotel rep claims they will soon revamp hotel website....

Based on this thread, I just booked Nelligan for 3 nts over Thanksgiving for the romance pkg. $560 US total, less 8% VAT that we get back at the end. Deluxe Suite w/view, dble jacuzzi, elect. fireplace, continental bkfst, turndown service, wine & cheese from 5 to 7, bottle of champagne, two 1/2 hr in room massages, 5 course dinner at Les Remparts including service, & free morning shuttle to downtown. That is absoultely amazing. Will give a FULL report when I return.

Ellen,
Will be eager to read your review of the Nelligan! We've enjoyed many wonderful dinners at Les Rempart.

Wow, Ellen, that sounds so great! Our concierge at the Le Germain suggested Remparts for a romantic dinner. Have a great time!

Ellen,
That sounds like a great deal. Usually I stay at the Intercontinental and was thinking about St. Paul Hotel this time, but maybe it'll be Hotel Nelligan.
