In July I stayed at Hotel de Paris on Rue Sherbrooke, it was $100CAD a night, but I recently saw online Manoir Ambrose, at rue Stanley and I think I'm going to stay there on my next trip. It's at Metro stop Peel...and it's only $65-85 for a double. i guess you've left by now but for future Montreal hotels reference i figured this would be good.

The Lord Berri Hotel is a great bargain, $80-130CAD. It is located downtown, one block from the Bus Terminal (if you are taking the shuttle from the airport this is one of the stops). <BR>The hotel is exceptionally clean and very close the nightlife on St. Laurent.
