MONT TREMBLANT xmas 2005

A group of us (10 in total) are going to Mont tremblant this xmas for 4 days and 3 nites. Any suggestion/info re: condo/house renting and avg prices ?

Any suggestions on where to eat? Since it is the holiday season, we know that places will be busy and pricey, but we do want to go out to dinner xmas eve...suggestions greatly appreciated as we need to make reservations asap.

Thanks!!!

I spent last Christmas at Tremblant and had an amazing time. I stayed right in the village at the Fairmont though so I can't help you with condo suggestions. As for Christmas dinner you could book at the Fairmont, they do a traditional dinner buffet with all the trimmings on Christmas eve and Christmas day. As I recall it is approx. $50 per person. I also had an incredible dinner at the Sushi restaurant at the Westin hotel.

It's fairly quiet in the village over Christmas, but you will need to book the Fairmont in advance if you want to eat there. Be sure to go to Le Diable (microbrew pub) for apres ski!

Enjoy!

The Quintessence hotel is within walking distance from the village; you might want to check out their dining room and wine bar offerings for the holidays; they're top notch.

Are you intent on staying right in the pedestrian village or not? I know it is always preferable, but it can depend on finances...

We have stayed in a condo village called Cap Tremblant three times. Once we rented through the Mont Tremblant main reservation number and twice we rented through private owners (VRBO.com). They are all brand new and so very nice. There is an outdoor pool and two outdoor hot tubs that are realy fun in the winter (no really - they are). They have a free shuttle to the ski resort - although we always drive and park - but sometimes one of us (ahem, usually me) wants to quit early and then I take the shuttle back.

One of our all-time favorite restaurants in the whole world is in St Jovite (a nearby town) called Le Cheval de Jade.

Also, I have seen large groups nicely accomodated at the Hotel Mont Tremblant, which because it is in the old village is less hectic and crowded (and their food is GREAT). http://www.hotelmonttremblant.com/

Have a great time! I'm jealous!

Thanks for the info!
We've booked a chalet for $550/nite plus taxes, it's www.4seasons-tremblant.com Has anyone heard of this place? Good/Bad? From the map it doesn't look too far from the village.

I'm going to check out the Fairmont for their xmas buffet's...$50 isn't too bad for xmas in the resort.

I've read on another site, that the Quintessence is currently closed for repairs (they had water damage due to chimney malfunctioning and the sprinkler system going off), but i think they'll be up and running by the time xmas comes along.

Has anyone heard of Aux Truffles? I found it on the Restaurants site of tremblant.ca, any comments/review?

I didn't think that $50 was bad for Christmas dinner at the Fairmont either (as I recall it even included a glass of Champagne)! The hotel is really nice and very pretty at Christmas. If you call the Fairmont they will e-mail you the holiday dinner menus/pricing.

Have fun - I loved spending Christmas there last year so I'm envious!

Hi,

how far is it to drive to the town of Mont Tremblant ?

If you want to be in the pedestrian village and right in the tremblant resort you should check out
Star Condo Villa. They really have excellent accommodations in mount tremblant. We are going to be staying there this winter.
