Metro

Is there a train station at Dorval airport that you can take to the underground metrosystem?(subway). You can tell I am from NY.

There is no metro station at Dorval airport, which is about 25 minutes drive west of the city. I tend to take the shuttle bus (Voyageur?) into downtown from Dorval (cost was around CAN$10 last time I took it). You'll see a kiosk with a ticket booth right as you walk out into the arrival area.

There is a Dorval commuter rail station, but you'll have to get there by bus...and the commuter rail runs less frequently than the metro, so you'll have to find out schedules.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and cabs are plentiful - set fee of $28 (about $17 US) to downtown.

The best way is bus, there's something called Aérobus (Aerobus) that brings you downtown. Cab will be expensive, shuttle bus is the best bet.

The bus is a fairly convenient way to get downtown from the airport, but it may not be convenient to the hotel you choose. I suggest you take a cab from the airport and, if cost is a issue, take the aiport bus on return to the airport, if it is convenient. By the way, ask the driver for a flat rate and/or find out from your hotel how much the cab fare should be from Dorval.
A.M.
