Marriott Fallsview or Sheraton on the Falls?
 

Niagara Falls. Considering booking one of the above. any clue which is nicer, newer and better location to everything.

Same here, I was looking at the Sheraton on the Falls first time up and wondering the same. How nice is the hotel? Is the room upgrade worth it?

Definitely Sheraton on the Falls, not to be confused with the Sheraton Fallsview. It's right across from Maid of the Mist and the views of the American and Horseshoe Falls are sensational. It is definitely worth the upgrade for views.

You can see the location of the hotels on the web. Those "behind" Horseshoe Falls do have wonderful views (from behind), but the Sheraton on the Falls is far superior for view.

I vote for the Marriott Fallsview. Gorgeous hotel, excellent room with views with floor to ceiling windows and lovely big bathrooms. The hotel is nice inside too, with an updated interior and very well taken care of.

I really like the location of the Sheraton on the Falls due to its proximity to Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, Hershey's etc.

I noticed that they are having construction until Nov, 2005. They say it's just an express elevator they are putting in. Does anyone know if this construction causes major problems or inconvenience to the guests?
