Marriott Chateau Champlain beside Bell Centre
Would you recommend this hotel in this location for first time visitors in Montreal? Thanks
|
It has easy access to the downtown business district and the central train station. After a half-century its profile on the urban landscape is well recognized. Montreal's delights are widespread so access to a Metro subway station right across the street is a real advantage. I can't comment on value for money; I visited friends there six months ago and it looked like a solid business accommodation.

It's a good, but not great location. It's in a business neighborhood that is busy during the day, not the liveliest at night. You are a short walk to St Catherine St, which is the heart of the downtown shopping area, and not too far from the McGill campus.

Thanks, guys.

Elsie, my DD and I are staying at the Loews in Montreal. We are going to the U2 concert at the Bells Center in June. Marriott was my second choice. Got a great deal at the Loews on booking.com. I would have stayed at the Marriott otherwise. Both are close to the bells center

Thanks, gotg! Some family members have decided to stay at the Marriott. You have a great time at your concert!

Guys, I've posted this on the Canada forum, but wanted to put this in the Lounge as well. How does the Marriott Chateau Champlain compare with the Le Square Phillips Hotel & Suites in Montreal? Atmosphere, accommodations, location? Many thanks.

Excuse Moi!!! Thought I was in the Lounge on my previous post.
