Hi, I will traveling to Toronto with my husband and teen the end of March. I'm trying to decide between Cambridge suites or connecting rooms for $40 more a night at the Sherton Center. A private space for our teen is important. We will be going to the theatre, Lion King, Mamma Mia, opera and Mousetrap. 4 nights stay.<BR>We would like to access coffe shops to sit and relax, maybe a book store or two. No mall shopping but maybe some little shops, 2nd hand stores. We will not have a car so getting to these places needs to be easy. Any suggestions on which hotel or should we be thinking of another area? We are not &quot;city&quot; people but as long as we feel safe we should be fine. I'm concened about the weather and getting around at night. Other then the theatre we would like to see some tourist stuff but mainly the trip is too relax. $200 a night US is all we can afford.<BR>Thanks, cindy

Sheraton wld. be the better choice for you. You can travel underground to shops &amp; in March that will be a welcome respite from the biting winds that often whip around the downcore core. You may also want to consider Holiday Inn. I believe it is on King St. West near the Lion King Theatre. (I have not stayed there but friends from Detroit did &amp; they thought it was conveniently located)

Cindy, the advice Susan gave you was good. It doesn't need adding to. The Sheraton Centre, (we spell it that way in Canada), is perfectly located for your purposes and combined with the underground network, (PATH), is perfect for inclement weather which is quite likely in March. The only argument for Cambridge suites is that you'll get more room for your buck but you already know that. Otherwise you'll be much better off at the Sheraton.

Cindy, you mention that you are interested in relaxing in coffee shops, browsing bookstores, etc. &quot;Queen Street West&quot; is an excellent area for this sort of thing. Its just a short walk (a few blocks) west of the Sheraton Centre.

Hi Cindy:<BR><BR>I agree with the other poster that Sherton Centre is much better suited for you and your family. Queen St. West is easy to get to by foot and yes it requires a walk outdoors. You can chose to take the streetcar(trolley) that runs along Queen Street. Although you don't have a car you should have no problems getting around by subway, streetcar or bus.
