Hi sunbum1944

The Merry House in Magog was worthwhile, where you learn some of the town's history. Walking on the shore of Lac Memphremagog near sunset was gorgeous the night I was there. I've only overnighted once and other than that spent an afternoon there on a day trip once so maybe someone else will pipe in who has lingered a bit longer than I have. I always have enjoyed my time there, there's a fun energy to the town.

Have a great trip!

Daniel

Baie-Saint-Paul is scenic. The view from Le Massif down to the St. Lawrence is cool.

Some things to do in the Magog area - Saint Benedict Abby - beautiful setting, Orford park for hiking, many beautiful wineries. Some nice little towns nearby - Knowlton (Louise penny's hometown), North Hatley, Ayer's Cliff, Sutton, Bromont, Dunham (winery mecca).

Just back from Magog. Beautiful area. Our hotel was on the lake so very nice. We did do a lot of exploring- we missed Dunham though. We visited the bookstore in Knowlton where Louise Penny's books are featured. We were lucky to have fabulous weather too.

Thanks for reporting back! How nice to have a hotel right on the lake. There’s much to appreciate about the scenery in Magog and vicinity, I agree.
