Magdalin Island anyone been there

Hi We are thinking of going to the Magdalin Islands later in the year and would be interested in getting some first hand info on what might be some of the interesting sights highlights etc? Thanks for any help

I think you mean Magdalen Island in the Gulf of St. Lawrence? If so check out this website: http://www.tourismeilesdelamadeleine...gdalen-islands

Sorry, posted too soon. First there is an English version of the website I mentioned. Secondly, as you asked for first hand insight, I will say I know this area only slightly as we are always en route somehwere else when we are going through this beautiful part of Quebec. But it looks lovely and we have stopped long enough to see the seals lounging on the rocks and to recognize it as an area where we'd like to spend more time. Thats why I had the website 'bookmarked'!

Claire Mowat has written a book called "Travels with Farley" that includes time spent at their home on the island.

If you're keen on beaches, there are some long, lovely and unpopulated stretches of sand. Haven't been there in ten years or so, but I remember some interesting coves, piers, marinas, and towns. Altogether, a unique place, especially for natural beauty.
