Lodging in Whistler

Any comments or suggestions on places to stay
in Whistler. Want something nice but not too expensive. Also want convenience to shopping and restaurants.

My husband and I like to stay at the ASPENS. It's a lovely condo-hotel on Blackcomb. 2 hot tubs, swimming pool, with bike, skate and ski rental on site. Suites are comfortable, well furnished and well located (next to the Chateau Whistler.) Walk to everything including lake and beach. The rates are reasonable, too. Web site is aspensonblackcomb.com.
Love Whistler, have fun.
A.M.

We just booked a week at whistler for the first of Aug. The best prices I found was booking from private owners at www.alluradirect.com . Fill out the online form and send it off. You will get about fourty replies and I found that they will negotiate on there price. Ebay sometimes has great bargains as well.

One of my favorites is the Tantulus Lodge-check out their website.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific. It was very nice and convenient to shopping and restaurants as well as outdoor activities. Prices were reasonable and the band in the bar is great!

We like the Delta Whistler Suites (not the Delta Whistler Hotel). It's well-located on the Whistler side and the "room" had a kitchen, dining area, fireplace plus we took the adjoining room for our kids. Check out the Delta Hotels site or if it's last minute, go on the Air Canada Websaver site. You'll love it. Don't forget to go to Christina's for lunch- it's 2 chair lifts up I think.
