Lodging in Tofino
My husband and I, and our 2 girls (9 and 12) will be staying in Tofino (or Ucluelet) for 3 nights after staying in ONP the previous 3 nights as. I am looking at Ocean Village (only upper or lower studio available), Pacific Sands (Beachfront Suite) and Terrace Beach Resort (Beach Front Cabin). I think a vacation is greatly enhanced by choosing the correct lodging, so am looking for advice. Another option is a rental house directly in Tofino yet with some privacy and it gets great reviews. The following week we will be in a rental house on the Sunshine Coast so may look to stay somewhere different.

Yo MC,
Below is our trip report from not that long ago. It also appears on the Odyssa travel site, but this version is better because it has some definite answers to your question. Hope it helps. I am done. The end. https://www.fodors.com/community/can...ouver-1224160/ |
I spent every summer when my kids were young att ocean village but always in a bottom unit. They are cramped and the couches where the kids sleep are short so if your 12 year old is 6 feet already it may be tight. McKenzie beach is great for young kids as it is calm and protected. A nice short beach to walk on. Closer to Tofino than the others terrace beach is lovely. We are in ucluelet now, we alternate between Tofino and ucluelet when we come. Ucluelet will be less money no doubt Pacific sands is more posh and if money is not a factor it would be my choice hands down. I love Cox Bay. A wild pacific beach no no matter which one you chose however it will be a great holiday I am sure |
