Lodging in Jasper

We are looking for lodging in Jasper within 15 minutes of downtown. We've checked out various accommodations, but don't find much in a woodsy setting. We like a romantic, cozy room with at least queen-size bed. We don't need a kitchenette. Your help would be appreciated.

Have you looked at Patricia Lake Bungalows? That would fit the bill.

There's not going to be whole lot in a truly woodsy setting other than campsites - commercial development is strictly limited in Jasper, so most things are right in the townsite.

Becker Creek Chalets and Patricia Lake Bungalows are excellent suggestions. Also Alpine Village or possibly something like Bear Hill which is on the edge of town. Or Jasper Park Lodge. You might also want to look carefully at the private home accommodation listings - some are on the edge of town and are quite nice.

I enjoyed Alpine Village when I was there last September. They offer a variety of cabins and are within 5 minutes of Jasper.

Thanks to all of you for your helpful suggestions. We decided to stay at Becker as we could get a little cabin on the river and there is a good restaurant on site.
